"I Am Here To Negotiate"

Now that Pintel and Ragettie have cornered Elizabeth in the closet, Elizabeth has no other option but to blurt out: "Parley!" In her super British accent, it sounds kinda like Polly.  Pintel: "What?" Elizabeth: "Parley.  I invoke the right of parley.  According to the Code of the Brethren set down by Morgan and Bartholomew (the French), you have to take me to your captain."  Pintel: "I know the code."  Elizabeth: "If an adversary demands parley, you can do no harm until the parley is complete."  Ragettie: "To blazes with the Code."  Pintel: "She wants toe be taken the the captain and she'll go without a fuss.  We must honor the Code."  Normally, it would see me like Pintel is being a civilized pirate (if there is such a thing), but he says this is creepily that it's hard for Elizabeth to be thankful for another few minutes of her life.
So they honor the code by taking her onto the Black Pearl.  We catch a glimpse of Captain Hector Barbossa standing on the quarterdeck, watching the fighting go on with Jack the monkey on his shoulder.  One of the crew mates, however, does not appreciate Elizabeth's presence.  Crew mate: "I didn't know we was takin' on captives."  Pintel gets very excited about this for some reason: "She's invoked the right of parley with Captain Barbossa."  Elizabeth sees this as the time to break loose and act superior: "I am here to . . ."  The crew member quickly slaps her across the face and says, "You will speak when spoken to."
Now, normally I would be begging for him to do it again, but at this part of the movie, I don't exactly hate Elizabeth, entirely.  I mean, she's going through a lot at that moment, being on a pirate ship and all, at least hear her out.  Barbossa doesn't approve of this behavior either: "And ye will not lay a hand on those under the protection of parley."  Crew: "Aye, sir."  Barbossa: "My apologies, miss."  For slapping her in the face, robbing her house, or destroying her town?  Elizabeth: "Captain Barbossa, I am here to negotiate the cessation of hostilities against Port Royal."  Barbossa is rather taken aback by this: "There were a lot of long words there, miss.  We're not but humble pirates.  What is it that you want?"  Elizabeth: "I want you to leave and never come back."  This is rather amusing to the pirates.  As though they'd just give up pillaging and plundering because some mildly pretty girl tells them to.  Barbossa: "I'm disinclined to acquiesce to your request."  Now it's Elizabeth's turn to not understand.  Barbossa: "Means 'no'."
Elizabeth Swann does not take no for an answer: "Very well."  She storms over to the edge of the boat and dangles the medallion on a string into the sea.  Elizabeth: "I'll drop it."  A cannon goes off in the background for dramatic effect.  The whole crew suddenly are paying close attention to her.  Barbossa, stiffly, says: "Me holds are burstin' with swag.  (swag) That a bit of shine matters to us?"  Then he breaks what little character he has: "Why?"  Elizabeth reads him like a book though: "It's what you've been searching for.  I recognize this ship.  I saw it eight years ago on the crossing from England."  Elizabeth recalls the time she rescued Will as a child and took the medallion from him.  He was stranded in the water because lo and behold the Black Pearl had attacked his ship looking for that very medallion.  Well, as you can see they never got it, hence why they are having this conversation in the first place.  Barbossa: "Did you now?"
The many expressions of Elizabeth Swann
Elizabeth, decides a different tactic.  Elizabeth: "Fine.  Well if it is worthless, there's no point in me keeping it."  She loosens her grip on the string and it falls an inch closer to being lost into the ocean.  Why they can't just dig it up later, I've no idea.  Barbossa and the entire crew leap forward and cry "no!".  It's a good thing they're pirates, not actors.  Barbossa realizes that it's really no use any more.  They need precisely what Elizabeth has to offer.  Barbossa: "You have a name, missy?"  Elizabeth: "Elizabeth . . . Turner.  I'm a maid in the governor's household."  I'm pretty sure that's incorrect.  But this makes the life of Elizabeth all the more valuable.  Barbossa: "How does a maid come to own a trinket such as that?  Family heirloom, perhaps?"  Barbossa wants to know if she's related to Bootstrap and therefor has the trinket.  Elizabeth: "I didn't steal it, if that's what you mean."  It wasn't, but Barbossa takes this as, "It was passed down to me from my father who used to be a pirate on this ship, Bootstrap Bill."  Barbossa; "Very well.  You hand it over, and we'll put your twon to ur rudder and ne'er return."  Elizabeth hands him the chain.  Elizabeth: "Our bargain?"
Crew member: "Still the guns and stow 'em." Signal the men and make good to clear port."  But as they are leaving, Elizabeth cries: "Wait! You have to take me to shore!  According to the Code . . ."  How exactly do you know pirates' code again?  Barbossa has other plans though: "First, your return to shore was not part of our negotiations not our agreement, so I must do nothing.  Secondly, you must be a pirate for the Pirates' Code to apply, and you're not.  (Jack would beg to differ).  And thirdly the code is more of what you'd call guidelines than actual rules.  (Tell that to Captain Teague).  Welcome aboard the Black Pearl, Miss Turner."  So acting's not his strongest suit, but with a mind like that Barbossa could make a nice lawyer.  So now Elizabeth is trapped on the Black Pearl because she failed to specify her release.  You know what they say, the devil is in the detail.

"A Betrayer Among Them?"

With all great stories and tails there are little bits of sadness, happiness, love, and betrayal. Join me as I chart my favorite betrayals and betrayers from the Pirates of the Caribbean  series.

4. Jack Sparrow's betrayal of the Crew of the Black Pearl Captained by Hector Barbossa.  To save the life of his friend and conspirator Will Turner and his "Daisy-Belle" Elizabeth Swann; Jack had to go to his longtime enemy James Norrington. He told them of the pirates plan escape, and what the Royal Navy had to do to stop them. Of course Norrington ignored him and carried out his own plan unwittingly steering his crew into an unwinable battle against men who can't die. But this is a Betrayal none the less, even thought Jack failed to help the Navy defeat the pirates.
3. Jack Sparrow's betrayal of  Gibb's to the court. This betrayal was more for fun then anything else. While on trial for piracy etc. Gibbs is accused of being Jack Sparrow, and the Judge Smith(Jack Sparrow) finds him Guilty of: [Bangs his gavel] Joshamee Gibbs. The crime of which you have been found guilty of, is being innocent of being Jack Sparrow. I hereby commute your sentence and order that you be imprisoned for the remainder of your miserable, moribund, mutton-chopped life." Well that was quite creative! Of course Jack has a plan, he hopes on board the prisoner transport vehicle with Gibbs and tells him of his latest plan: Find the Fountain Of Youth.  But his plan is temporarily changed when the transport stops abruptly and Jack is captured by the British....again.
2. Elizabeth's betrayal of Jack, to the Kraken. This is pretty much the most heartless thin Elizabeth Swann has ever committed.  By committing this act of treachery she not only betrayed Jack, but she betrayed her beloved Will too. So lets all learn from this stupidity: Don't try to Kill Jack Sparrow, it will always come back to bite you in the butt. So Jack thought he was finally going to get his kiss from Lizzie, and he did but he also got eaten by the kraken. On the upside he found his hat!
1.  Jack's betrayal of Angelica and Blackbeard. This is possibly the grossest moment in all time, watching Blackbeard have his flesh ripped from his skin, and his bones dissolved. Fun, ehh?   Leading up to this moment Angelica had planned to give her own life to save the life of her "Father". But Jack couldn't let that happen! So he switched up the chalices and saved Angelica, who didn't appreciate being saved at all! Angelica: [to Jack]: "You bastard! How could you?!" Jack Sparrow: "Your father saved you. Perhaps his soul is now redeemed, hey!" Angelica: "I hate you!" Jack Sparrow: "The bloke who saved your life?" Angelica: "The years I posses, stolen from my own father!" Jack Sparrow: "I only helped Blackbeard do what any father should have done." Angelica: "You are cruel and ignorant. "      How ungrateful!

Well there you have it my top 4 betrayals and betrayers, seems like Jack has his hands in a bunch of these sticky situations, but we still love him right?

"They've Come To Kidnap You"

We first catch a glimpse of The Black Pearl, in The Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl.  But at this point, Barbossa is still captain and Jack is thirsty for revenge.  It all seems like a quite, peaceful night, but one by one the people of Port Royal can tell that a dark spell has been cast on their city.  Elizabeth is in bed when her light suddenly flickers and is blown out.  Will is still working at the at the blacksmith's when some pretty haunting music begins to play.  He looks outside the window to the foggy alleyway.  Norrington and the governor are walking along the fort discussing Norrington's marriage to Elizabeth.  Weatherby also notices the change in the atmosphere: "Ghastly weather, don't you think?"  Norrington: "Bleak.  Really bleak."  Governor: "What's that?"  And then the first cannon is shot, right into the port.  Newly Commodore Norrington instructs the solders to "Return fire!"
Meanwhile, the shot can be heard in Jack's cell.  As you can assume, this gets him very excited.  Jack: "I know those guns.  It's the Pearl."  Prisoner: "The Black Pearl?"  Other prisoner: "I've heard stories."  First prisoner: "She's been preying on ships and settlements for near ten years.  Never leaves any survivors."  That sounds enjoyable.  Jack: "No survivors?    Then where do the stories come from, I wonder."  Dead men tell no tales.  This seems to stump the other prisoners.  All out war has begun against Port Royal.  The Black Pearl continues to hurl cannons at the settlement, all in order to get that one piece of cursed Aztec gold that hangs around Elizabeth's neck.
Buildings begin to fall and people flee for their lives.  However, this doesn't seem to do enough damage because they still need the last piece of gold to set the Black Pearl free from the curse.  So they begin to take row boats onto land to kill some more people, and being immortal, they are pretty good at it.  Will grabs his weapons from the blacksmith's shop and goes to help defend his town.  Back at the fort, Norrington and his men are trying hard to take the down the Pearl, but they are failing badly.  Norrington: "Sight the muzzle flash.  I need a full spread, fore and aft.  Mr. Stevens, more cartridges.  Governor, barricade yourself in my office.  That's an order."  Norrington is taking control!
Pintel and Ragettie, crew members of the Black Pearl, make their way to the Governor's palace to find the medallion and maybe scrape up some more gold.  Elizabeth, who sees them coming up to her house, tries to warn the butler not to let them in, but it's too late.  He's shot and the pirates are after her now.  As she tries to run away, the maid stops her.  Maid: "They've come to kidnap you!"  Elizabeth: "What?" Maid: "You're the governor's daughter!"  Elizabeth thinks that they want to hold her hostage for ransom, but really they want more than that: her necklace and her blood to sacrafice.  Elizabeth does a pretty good job in delaying Pintel and Ragetti, but it's madness inside the house and servants are being killed everywhere.
Elizabeth, who is too weak to get the sword of the wall to defend herself, takes refuge in a closet.  At first, the pirates think that she escaped from the window, but since their pirates they can sense that the medallion is near them.  Pintel: "We know you're here, poppet."  Ragetti: "Poppet!"  Pintel: "Come out.  We promise we wont' hurt you."  This statement doesn't fool Elizabeth, but it tricks Ragetti, who doesn't understand why they would kill all the people in the town and hunter her down just to let her go.  The Ragetti realizes that Pintel is just trying to trick Elizabeth.  Pintel: "We will find you, poppet.  You've got something of ours, and it calls to us.  The gold calls to us."  That's when Elizabeth realizes that it's her little trinket that they want.  Pintel and Ragetti have also realized that she's in the closet because of the crease in the carpet in front of it.  Ragetti: "The gold."  Elizabeth examines the necklace in the light coming from the crack.  When she looks up, Pintel's beautiful eye is staring straight at her.  Pintel: "Hello, poppet."

"With Your Permission, Your Heinie"

After arriving in the king's palace, Jack is litterally dragged by the guards to a meeting with King George II.  They take him to the dining room and chain him to the chair.  Then they leave him all alone in a room full of food: bad decision.  Jack gets a little hungry and can't stop admiring the cream puff in front of him.  With his hands still chained down, he finds a way to move his chair closer to the table.
But he runs out of time and the king and his men come in.  Desparately, Jack bumps the table so the cream puff falls off and then kicks it upward, where it is nicely perched on the chandelier.  So much for that.  For now.  The very attractive king takes his seat and the other men crowd around him to interrogate Jack.  There's a super awkward silenec, which is broken by one of the men to the left of the king: "You are Jack Sparrow?"  Jack: "There should be a captain in there somewhere."  You really can't forget that.  King: "I've heard of you.  And you know who I am."  Jack: "Face is familiar.  Have I threatened you before?"  Man: "You are in the presence of George Augustus, Duke of Brunswick-Luneburg, Archtreasure and Prince-elector of the Holy Roman Empire, King of Great Britain and Ireland, and of you."  Wow.  Try saying that one five times quickly.  Jack: "Doesn't ring a bell." King: "I am informed you have come to London to procure a crew for your ship."  Jack: "Vicious rumor.  Not true."  Uh-oh.  Identification crisis.  King: "Then you lied to me when you told me you were Jack Sparrow."  Jack: "I am Jack Sparrow, but I'm not here to procure a crew.  That is . . . Someone else."
Jack starts to move his arms around, clanging the chains about.  King: "Ah.  Someone else named Jack Sparrow.  You've brought me the wrong wastrel.  Find the proper one and dispose of this impostor."  You really must hold onto your name tighly in England.  Jack makes more noice with his chains to get their attention.  Jack: "No, wait, wait, wait.  Hang on a minute.  I'm Jack Sparrow, the one and only.   And I am in London."  Thank you for clearing that up, we can see you.  King: "To procure a crew.  To undertake a voyage to the fountain." Jack doesn't here any of this as he is being extra obnoxious with his chains.  Jack: "What?"  The king gets rather tired of being interrupted.  King: "Will someone please remove these infernal chains?"  Jack agrees: "Come, come."  Man: "We know you're in posession of a map."
Other man: "So confiscate the map, and to ghe gallows with him!"  That's rude.  Take his stuff and hang him???  King: "Have you a map?"  Jack reaches into his JACKet to get the maps out, but feels nothing.  Awkward.  Jack: "No."  Man: "Where is it?"  Jack: "The truth?  I lost it.  Quite recently, in fact."  King: "I have a report.  The Spanish have located the Fountain of Youth.  I will not have some melancholy Spanish monarch, a Catholic, gain eternal life."  Excsue me!  As Catholics, they've already got eternal life.  Jack just walks around nibbling on food as the king bangs angrily on the table.  Man: "You do know the way to the Fountain?"  Jack: "Of course I do.  Look at me." Gladly.  Other man: "You could guide an expedition."  Jack likes the sound of this.  Jack: "Wtih your permission, your heinie, you will be providing, then, a ship . . . and a crew?"  King: "And a captian."  Party's over.
Especially when Jack realizes that this "captain" is none other than Barbossa, his good old friend.  This wouldn't be the first time Barbossa has stolen captaincy from Jack.  But things get better when Barbossa shares that the Black Pearl has been stolen.  Barbossa happens to almost look as attractive as King George II.  King: "Captain Barbossa, each second we tally, the Spanish out distance us.  I have every confidence you will prevail and be rewarded with the high station you so desire."  Barbossa: "To serve doth suffice, sire." What a kiss-up.  And now he's talking like Shakespear.  Jack agrees with me.  Jack: "You, sire, have stooped."  Barbossa: "Jack, our sands be all but run.  Where's the harm in joining the winnig side?  And you do meet a nice class of person."  Jack: "I understand evertying.  Except that wig."  With that, Jack ditches his two guards, makes their guns shoot upward at the chandelier, climbs onto the table, stomps on perfectly good food, and breaks open a window.  But he's still missing the cream puff.  So he uses the curtain to grab hold of the chandelier as it wobbles back and forth.  Finally, he has the cream puff so he runs away through the upper hallway.  King: "He escaped?"  Barbossa: "Leave it to me, sire."  The king is so pleased by this he makes a very stunning happy face that is probably as gorgeous as Medusa's.

"There'll Be No Knowing Here"

Now that Jack and his crew are same on board the Black Pearl, Jack's next obstacle is avoiding the kraken and Davy Jones.  He leads the crew inland, into the swamps.  Will gets rather suspicious of Jack's behavior though.  Will: "Why is Jack afraid of the open ocean?"  Gibbs: "Well, if you believe such things, there's a beast that does the bidding of Davy Jones.  A fearsome creature with griant tentacles that'll suction your face clean off and drag an entire ship down to the crushing darkness.  The kraken.  They say the stench of its breath is like . . . Imagine, the last thing you know on God's green earth is the roar of the kraken and the reeking odor of a thousand rotting corpses."  Oh, I might just take the cannibals instead!  Gibbs, who realizes that he just disturbed everyone on the row boat, continues, "If you believe such things."  Will: "And the key will spare him that?"  Gibbs: "Well, that's the very question Jack wants answered.  Bad enough even to go visit . . . her."  Will: "Her?"  Gibbs: "Aye."
They pull up to Tia Delma's shack But by now they're all scared so Jack "reasures" them. Jack: "No worries mates. Tia Delma and I go way back. Thick as theives.[Where have I heard that before?]  Nigh inseparable, we are. Were. Have beeen. Before." Gibbs: "I'll watch your back." Jack: "It's me front I'm worried about." Now suddenly all of the crew wants to go inside to see what happens, but somebody has to watch the boat.  So of course, they make the person who can't object do it: Cotton.  Tia: "Jack Sparrow." Jack: "Tia Dalma." He nearly bonks his head on the jar of who-knows-what. Tia Dalma: "I always knew the wind was going to blow you back to me one day."  Jack smiles at her, but he's still slightly creeped out by the strang concoctions all over her house.  Tia Dalma turns her attention to Will though.  Tia: "You . . . you have a touch of . . . destiny about you, William Turner."  Will, who has nevery seen this bizzare woman in his life, is a little shocked that she knows his name.
Will: "You know me?"  This also puzzles Jack a bit.  Tia Dalma: "You want to know me."  Jack: "There'll be no knowing here.  We've come for help and we're not leaving without it.  I thought I knew you."  Jack is getting slightly jealous.  Tia: "Not so well as I had hoped.  Come."  Jack: "Come."  Tia Dalma continues to hit on Will: "What service may I do you?"  Then she yells at Jack: "You know I memand payment." Jack: "I brought payment.  Look.  An undead monkey.  Top that."  Tia Dalma seems content, and lets the monkey out of its cage.  Gibbs: "Don't!  you've no idea how long it took us to catch that."  Tia Dalma: "The payment is fair."  Will cuts right to the point: "We're looking for this.  And what it goes to."  Tia Dalma: "The compass you bartered from me, it cannot lead you to this?"  Jack: "Maybe.  Why?"  Tia Dalma can see right through him: "I hear you.  Jack Sparrow does not know what he wants.  Or do you know, but are loath to claim it as your own?"  Jack just blows on a string hanging from the ceiling.  Tia: "Your key go to a chest.  And it is what lay inside the best that you seek, dont' it?"  Tia Dalma just has really great grammar, don't she?
She then shares with great grammar what happened to Davy Jones and why his heart is hidden the this chest, as Jack steals a few things around the hut.  Davy Jones, who used to be a good person and sailor, fell in love with Calypso, the goddess of the sea.  But it was too hard for him to leave her for ten years to sail the seas, so he did what thought was the only option for him.  He cut out his heart (yes, his actual heart, not "figuratively") and put it inside the chest.  For some reason this story greatly intrigues Will.  Cutting out his hear and locking it up seems to have some kind of effect to him.  I wonder why . . .  Could it be this touch of destiny?  Tia Dalma: "The key he keep with him at all times."  Will to Jack: "You knew this."  Jack: "I did not.  I didn't know where the key was.  But now we do.  All that's left is climb aboard the Flying Dutchman, grab the key, you go back to Port Royal and save your bonnie lass."  Will, thinking of his love for a young lady, gets back to the point.  Will: "It seems we have a need to find the Flying Dutchman."  This makes Tia Dalma very pleased.  Tia: "A touch of destiny!"  Where do you think this destiny will lead him?

"We Can't Just Sit Here and Wait"

Will Turner has set out to find Jack Sparrow and get his compass to free Elizabeth. He ends up on an island filled with a bunch of cannibals. They take Will captive. The good news is Will can talk to Jack's crew since they were put together in the same cell. The bad news is that that cell happens to be hanging from midair 500 feet above the ground made of bones from the other half of the crew.
Will: "Why would he do this to us. If Jack is the cheif-" Gibbs: "Aye, the pelegostos made Jack their cheif, But he only remains cheif as long as he acts like a cheif." Will: "So, he had no choice. He's a captive as much as the rest of us." Gibbs: "Worse, as it turns out. See the pelegostos beleive Jack is a god in human form, and they intend to do him the honor of releasing him from his fleshy prison. They'll roast him and eat him." I'd like to see them try to eat Tia Delma. Gibbs: "Jack's life will end when the drums stop." Will: "Well, we can't just sit here and wait, then, can we?" He has the crew rock the cage back and forth until they reach the side of the cliff where they can climb up.
When they finally make it to the cliff they start to climb, but they don't do it for long because they see a guard walking across the bridge above them and are forced to stop.
However the half of the crew in the cage without Will decides to keep going "quietly." But one of the dudes in that cage accidentaly grabs a snake instead of a vine. He yells and the part of the crew in the cage falls down breaking the rope and hitting the ground with a thud.
This alerts the gaurd on the bridge and he runs to their camp to get his freinds to help kill the crew. Realizing that they don't have much time Will and the remaining men (there's not many left after the cage and the fall) hurry to the top. Will: "Move!" Once on top they start rolling the cage away from the cannibals.
When they can't roll any more they decide to lift it up and run.
Gibbs has some inspirational words to help. Gibbs: "Lift it like a ladies skirt." They accidently run straight of another cliff into some water but it breaks the cage so it's not all bad. The cannibals shoot down at them but stop when a young boy comes and tells them Jack is getting away. Thanks Jack.
Now that their safe the crew makes their way to the Black Pearl where they find Pintel and Raggeti trying to set sail all by their whimpsies. Pintel: "haul loose the mooring line. The mooring line!" But Raggeti is to busy chasing the monkey with his eye to hear. Ragetti: "Theif! Little Hairy Theif! Give it back. Don't bite it."
Gibbs comes and is happy to see that their almost ready to go. Gibbs: "Excellent! Our works half done." Pintel: "We done it for you, knowing you'd be coming back." Gibbs just ignores him, "Make ready to sail boys!" But will doesn't wan' to go without Jack but luckily he sees him running towards them. . . being chased by the cannibals. Jack comes just in time. And so they set sail for Tia delma's shack.

"Never too Late to Learn"

Now the East India Trading Company has control of the Flying Dutchman and are headed to Shipwreck Cove to end piracy once and for all. Lead by Lord Cutler Beckett the E.I.T.C. armada begins to prepare for battle. However Davy Jones has already begun to charge the enemy. This is fine with Beckett so he just goes along with, confident it will beat the Black Pearl that is heading out to meet it. Right when the two ships are about to start blowing each other up a huge vortex forms, sending the ships in circles. Barbossa and Davy Jones wait for the precise moment to order their crews to attack. When they do all the cannons begin to fire, each ship gets a lot of damage but this is just the beginning. After firing and firing and firing the two sides realize that this plan is taking to long and decide on a new plan: board the other ship.
They swing on the ropes and if they don't fall and have a very wet death they land right on the enemy's ship. On each of the ships chaos is reigning. Meanwhile Jack is locked up on the Flying Dutchman but he finds a way to escape. Jack: "Think like the whelp. Think like the whelp. Hinges. Hinges. Leverage!" Then he opens the doors the same way Will used to free him way back in The Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl. He rushes to the place where the chest of Davy Jones is up his effects. While he does so he steals the chest from right under Murtogg and Mullroy's nose. On his way out he runs into a old "freind." Davy Jones: "Lookee here boys. A lost bird. A lost bird that never learned to fly." Jack: "To my great regret. But. . .never to late to learn, eh?" He slaps a rope and grabs on as it pulls him upward, flying through the air. But since Davy Jones can teleport on his ship he meets Jack on the mast. Jones: "The chest, hand it over." Jack: "I can set you free mate." Jones: "My freedom was forfeit long ago." And then they begin to sword fight. This duel lasts a long time and has a few funny snippets.

Davy Jones: "You can do nothing without the key." Jack: "I already have the key." A little confused Jones holds up the key and says, "No, you don't. Ha. . Haha. . ." Jack: "Oh, that key." Stupid Davy Jones. Why would Jack be talking about that key? After that Jack slices of the tenticle holding the key. Then the Black Pearl and the Dutchman bump into each other and Jack falls of but grabs onto the chest that Jones is also holding.
Davy Jones won't let go because he doesn't want Jack to have it. Jack won't let go because falling 50 feet probably will hurt a little. Jones flings Jack upward and he goes flying, but luckily Jack lands right on a fish dude and promptly knocks him off.
While swinging around he shoots Jones in the hand, making him drop the chest. Jack and Davy Jones come to the deck to look for it. However Will finds it first but looses it while fights with his father. Will: "Stop, it's me. It's Will your son." Bootstrap doesn't get the message and continues to attack. Meanwhile Jack and Davy Jones fight over the chest. Jack hides behind a block of wood that spins around to signal the kraken. Jones just walks through the block but Jack spins it around confusing Jones.
But he gets over it and chases Jack because he has no sword anymore. Jones knocks Jack down but before Jones can kill him Elizabeth comes in and starts fighting Davy Jones. Jones: "Harridan! You'll see know mercy from me." Elizabeth: "That's why I brought this."
She then draws her sword and they continue killing each other. Meanwhile the tenticle holding the key worms its way past Jack. He then takes the key and the heart and after Jones stabs Will he threatens to stab it but instead he let's Will stab it saving his life and making him the immortal captain of the Flying Dutchman.

"As Thick As Theives, Love"

Jack and Angelica are two ambitious pirates who have their minds set on the Fountain of Youth.  But neither of them know exactly everything that is needed inorder to gain eternal life.  So Angelica and Jack meet up in a bar (of course).  After some pretty intense bar fighting, they find themselves soaked sitting on the dock.  Angelica cuts right to the point.  Angelica: "So, what is it?"  Jack: "What is what?"  Angelica: "About the Fountain.  What do you know?"  By now she's got her knife ready for action.  As Jack dumps out the gallons of water from his boot (how much is in that thing???), he quickly give up his information.
Jack: "You don't happen to be in possession of two silver chalices, circa Ponce de Leon?"  Angelica gives a short look of delight.  Angelica: "No."  Jack: "Ha.  Thought not."  Angelica: "Why?"  Jack: "I hear stories.  Rumors.  You are of course, aware of the ritual."  Now it's Jack asking for information.  Angelica: "Yes, I am."  Jack: "Hmmm.  What is it?  What is required?"  Jack has to wait for that vital piece of the puzzle, because kind Angelica has her hit man shoot him with a dart that knocks him out.
So then Jack's knocked out body gets kidnapped onto the Queen Anne's Revenge, but Jack still needs to know of the ritual for the Fountain.  If he's going to sail all the way out there to save Blackbeard, he might as well gain immortality as well.  So he decides to charm Angelica into giving him the last peice to solve the puzzle.  Angelica: "You can be so charming when you want something, Jack. The trick is finding out what."  Scrum, who is playing his banjo in the background intensifies the music.  Jack: "The truth, then, is it?  Blackbeard has served his purpose.  You and I can go to the Fountain together, where we shall bathe one another in equal shares of fame and other assorted debaucheries."  Sounds tempting.  Angelica: "And I"ll tell you the ritual of the Fountain."
The continue to dance around the deck.  "Yes.  The profane ritual."  Angelica: "Can I trust you, Jack?  I need you on my side."  And now they are on the ground  . . .  Jack: "Oh my dearest Angelica.  You and I are as thick as thieves, love.  Tell me the rules."  Man, things are getting really desparate.  Angelica seems to give in.  Angelica: "Water from the Fountain of Youth.  The shimmering tear of a mermaid.  The silver chalices of Ponce de Leon. With these items."  Jack: "Yes?"  Angelica: "With these items, you may take all the years of life from another, Jack."  This seems to change things as Jack quickly sits up.  Jack: "Eh?"  Angelica: "You know what that means.  We cannot go alone, you and I.   The ritual requires a victim."  Well you could, just one of you would have to die.  Jack seems to realize this too.  Jack: "That is unfortuante."  Angelica: "Yes, it is."  Jack: "I find my desire for the Fountain greatly lessened."  Now they're going back onto the dirty ground of the deck.  Angelica: "But there is something onbaord you do want."  Jack then agrees to help Angelica and her father to the fountain in return for the Black Pearl.

As they continue with the mermaid through the forest to the fountain, Jack brings up the ritual again in hopes that maybe he had misunderstood it the first time.  Jack: "What is the ritual again?  Water from the Fountain and a mermaid's tear?"  This time Angelica doesn't hold back.  Angelica: "And two silver chalices.  One cup with a tear, one without."  Jack: "So one with a tear and water in both.  Quite complicated, is it not?"  Angelica: "both get water.  One gets a tear.  Ther person who drinks the water with the tear gets all the years of the life from the other."  Blackbeard is in the background staring menacingly and eavesdroping.
Jack: "How many years? Whoa."  Angelica decides to pull a snake out of the swamp for dramatic effect.  Angelica: "All the yers that they have lived, and they could have lived if fate had been kinder."  So basically, you haul along a friend of yours to the fountain with a mermaid.  Place the tear in one of the two chalices with the magical water.  Each person drinks randomly.  One person lives for many more years, the other dies, right there.  What a task!  Would you take that risk?
